thats my family...positive....because the german immigrants came to america through an agreement with the royalty of england...and remember....england owned america at the time.....because of this the migration of johanne hofmann....who later while in america was referred to as john hoffman and then later john huffman..was well documented....in fact theres a groupm tree on ancestry.com called "the clans of madison county:" and your part of that clan....you have to ask for access to there tree which i have already have done....there are photos ,documents...maps.....its amazing...like i said...because the colony of madison county...earlier called.."germanna"..was commissioned by the royalty of england to make a settlement there and mine for silver, its well documented...more so then most settlements of that time...so were blessed with having access to 230 years of our ancesters records and documents of how they settled america......go to ancestry.com and look up the clans of ma!
dison county and ask to be aloud to explore...you will be asked how your related...answer with whatever you know and they will send you an email allowing you access.....good luck and stay in touch
