Dear Harriette and All,
Harriette, the Henry R. Hoisington you identified as being pastor of
the First Presbyterian Church of Scipio, N.Y. was undoubtedly my
great-great-grandfather, Rev. Henry Richard Hoisington 1st who graduated
from Auburn Theological Seminary in Auburn, N.Y. in 1831, and was
ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church the day after his graduation.
He later (1833) went to Indian and Ceylon with his wife, Nancy Lyman
Hoisington, where they were missionaries.

Eric Hoisington, the ballet dancer, is the son of my first cousin,
Frederick Reed Hoisington 3rd and Judith Hoisington; grandson of F.R.
Hoisington 2nd; and great-grandson of F.R.Hoisington 1st;
great-great-grandson of Rev. Henry Richard Hoisington 2nd, and
great-great-great-grandson of Rev. Henry Richard Hoisington 1st, the
missionary.
We are all descended from John 1, John 2, James, Job, and Henry Richard
1st.
