Dear Cousins,
My mother, Margaret Joyal Stevens Parent, passed away
on Sept. 16, 1998, about 8:30 p.m., after an illness of
about 2 1/2 months. She died in the ICU of Charlotte
Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT.

She was born on April 4, 1927 in Colchester, Vt. She was
71 yrs. old. She was the daughter of Joseph Theophilus Joyal
and Eva May Clough. (Eva was the grandaughter of Caira
Hoisington.)

The funeral was at the Cabot Vt. United Church, on Sept. 21,
and burial was in the Durant Cemetery in Cabot, Vt. on that
date.

She was a member of Clough-L, and the assistant genealogist
for the John Clough Genealogical Society. In addition she
was co-genealogist for the Jacques Jouiel Genealogical Society.
She was also co-president of the Cabot Alumni Association for
the past 10 years, (which she founded).

My apologies for not being available to the list for the last
3 months, while I was with my mother in the hospital. I'm sure
that I'll have many other obligations over the next few months
also, as her affairs must be dealt with. So I apologize in
advance if I do not reply to any of you in a timely manner.
