Hi, Nick.

Welcome! I look forward to seeing your line. So far, I don't have a
single Nicholas in the database.

Speaking of the database, I am reminded that we have a bunch of new list
members. I try to send a personal welcome message to each one, but they're
all ad lib and I'm not sure that I have given everyone the resources that
are available to them.

First off, I have a database of over 6500 names of Hoisington descendants,
from which I am more than happy to do lookups. I entered the information
from Harry Hoisington's "Hoisingtons in America" and the Edris Hoisington
Ells notes that I found at the local Family History Center. That was about
2 years ago. Since then, I have scanned the web for every Hoisington I can
find. Some of this info has not been entered in the database, as I have
not found a link for the person, but I would be happy to check my notes.

Secondly, the list is archived on
http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl . Enter "Hoisington"
when it asks you for the mailing list name. There are postings going back
to 1996 that you can search by keyword.

Third, there's the Hoisington web site at
http://www.genweb.net/~hoisington/index.htm . Only the first few
generations are listed right now, but I hope that we will have a page for
each family eventually. Your input would definitely be appreciated.

Fourth, several of the listmembers have personal web pages that include
genealogy. Can't remember all of them off the top of my head, so would all
of you webmasters please post the URLs?

And, fifth, there's us. Ask anything and we'll try to help.

Have I forgotten anything?

Harriette
