A marble tablet to Matthew Spencer, d. 1774 aged 63. High Sheriff
of Somerset in 1749. Also Elizabeth his wife, d. 1809 aged 79, their
eldest son Walter Spencer d. 1823 aged 62, and their second son, John
Spencer, d. 1794 aged 32, of yellow fever on board the Beaulieu frigate '
Martinque '.
A window of the Baptism of Christ. A brass below to William
Bailward, 1852-1918 and Brigadier - General Arthur Bailward, 1855-1923.
A marble tablet to Thomas S. Bailward, 1786-1842, John Bailward,
1799-1868, Thomas H. M. Bailward, 1843-1913, and John Bailward,
1883-1946. A Coat of Arms is shown here.
A marble tablet to Rev. Thomas Whalley Wickman, d. 1855 aged 82.
Rector for 57 years, and Mary, his widow, d. 1867.
A marble tablet to William Gifford, d. 1693, aged 36. Also his son
Benjamin Gifford, d. 1713 aged 35.
Ok, this is all of the Nave except for the list of Rectors. Let me know
if you want them listed or not. If not I will proceed with the
description of the six bells. They have inscriptions on them. I have
not read this yet so I will read it as I type it. I love my little book.
I have a letter going to this person asking him some detailed questions
about the book and what kind of records we are able to get from him or
were ever they are at.
