Hi all,
First, I do have information on Edith, mostly sporadic. I believe
Maida Follini has more information as she inherited Edie's work. But I
can fill in some biographic info and I'm sure Maida could offer what she
has.
Second, I'm going to attending SU full-time in January, and to that
end, I'm ending my employment with the University as of tomorrow. I
still get email because I'm a part-time student this semester (History
301 Fact and Interpretation), so I'll be able to keep in touch with all
of you. I'm taking the next two months to get organized, arrange for
full-time status, hopefully some financial aid, AND work on the
genealogy. I've been religiously saving bits and pieces of info over
the year but haven't had the chance to digest it all, nor add to the
list what info I do have. After major surgery, a funeral, estate
dealings and a wedding, my husband and I decided that it was time for me
to concentrate on FINISHING the undergrad degree (20+ years in the
making). My husband takes his Ph.D. qualifying exams in two weeks and
will be ABD (all but dissertation) by the end of this semester.
Long-range plans vary only in where we will be... 50/50 that we stay in
Syracuse one more year or return to New Hampshire. Long range
career/academic goals for me are to apply to Simmons College (Boston)
for my Masters Library and Information Sciencees with special
concentration in Archive Management (genealogy forever!).
So, plan on seeing more info from me. The computer folks here say I
can switch my server access without affecting the list serves that I
receive email. Just in case, my email address will now be
as of Thursday. If I don't get the list serve info,
I'll unsubscribe and resubscribe as necessary. The only drawback will
be finding time to access the Net and email as I won't be on campus full
time until January.
Sorry to be such a long-winded note... historians tend to babble. :)
