hi tina,
i just opened a map from a friend (xmas party - yippee!). he sent it as a
gif and i was able to open it in photoshop. it looked great and very
readable. don't know why you had trouble with the jpg. i've had images sent
to me in that format as well and had no trouble opening them in ps. good
luck. and as for load time - i certainly don't mind a long time when the
goods are worth it. i just find something else to do while it's
downloading. :-) would you like to try a test with me? just send it to my
email and i'll give it a try/open.
