A couple of years ago, when I first started the Hoisington Mailing List, it
became apparent that it was just too confusing to page through Harry's book
in order to get all the info needed to respond to questions from both
listmembers and others that contacted me. I put everything in my Reunion
database, with references to Harry's material.
While I have, obviously, benefited from having it online for my personal
research, my main intention was to share the info with anyone else
researching Hoisington or related lines. I did not, originally, plan on
publishing an updated version of Harry's info as I was not clear about the
copyright issues. I do not plan on publishing it now as my own creation.
I would just like to have the most up-to-date and correct information
available to Hoisington researchers in whatever format is most appropriate,
be it on the Hoisington Family Web Site or as a hardcopy format.
BTW, the Hoisington List is set up to ALWAYS "reply to list" although,
occasionally, something goes haywire up at the Rootsweb server and it
"replies to sender". If you want to send an e-mail to the individual who
posted a particular reply, just substitute the individual's address, which
is located in the "Reply-to" field of the header.
