Tina,

While you were sleeping...
01 Feb and 04 Feb 1999, Alan Smith <> sent us reams of Spencer
info that he gleaned from this site:
http://www.gendex.com/users/Enf_Bry/Enf_Bry/index.html. I've been to this site
quite a few times, as it seems like everybody I'm related to is somehow related
to someone at the site. If you follow Marah Alice Spencer's line of descent back
to Alfred The Great, hang a left at Baldwin II, who's the 4th Ggrandfather of
Matilda of Flanders who married Charlemagne, who branch off of my Foster/Forster
line, which joins my Collins line, which joins my Champion line, which joins my
Hoisington line. The whole thing is like a bowl of slightly sticky spaghetti:
you pull up one strand and the whole tangled bunch follows.

Back to the Spencers: The info on the Enfield-Bryant site was refuted here on
the list, and on 17 Feb 1999, Donna <> responded by saying she
had found a book on the Plantagenets, which listed no Gerard Spencer. She
suggested a site, but I'm unable to access it, so I won't bother sending it.
I'll be interested in what Spencer info you've come up with.
