Hiya Listers, I heard from my cousin with the Spencer info. It might help us
with our conflicting Spencer lines. :-)

<< Hi Donna,
Well, not a hoax, just wishful thinking. : ) There IS a SPENCER (actually
Le Despencer) line that is connected to royalty (I have that one as well),
but they have no proven connection to the SPENCER line of CT.
Suggest everyone track down the most recent book, "The Spencers of the Great
Migration, Vol. I, 1300 A.D. - 1783 A.D." by Jack Taif Spencer & Edith
Woolley Spencer, Gateway Press, Baltimore, MD, 1997.
Also look at TAG (The American Genealogist) Vol. 27, No. 1, January 1951,
"The Four Spencer Brothers, Their Ancestors and Descendants" by Donald Lines
Jacobus.
And THEN they can contact the Spencer Family Association at:
Spencer Hisotrical & Genealogical Society, Inc.

Houston, TX 77027-4706
