Do I dare repeat the caveat to get Thomas Holder/Mary Baird lore off your
pedigrees? Never proven!

Re: Mary Langston's birth place. I believe she was born in Guilford NC.
Don't have the reference for this on hand since it's not my line - yet. I
was looking for a William Holder whom I found in Guilford and thought there
might be a connection. Can anyone quote me back to myself? Believe I sent
this information on to a Jesse Holder researcher.

Would a stopover in Guilford/Granville make a difference in the migratory
route, Elizabeth?

Guilford was a site of early Quaker settlement, wasn't it? I believe the
earliest settlers to NC from Penna. were originally Quakers (and Germans)
which ties in with my family lore
of the Holders having been Quakers - emphasis on LORE. I am still looking
for parents of Abraham Holder, b.VA 1782-90 d.1846 in Greene Co.PA. Where
is he??? Over 20 years of searching and I still can't find a family to
take him in.
