Hi,

I'm brand new to this list (and to genealogy) and am searching for
information on my Holder family.

My mother was Lucille Holder (b. 10/6/1905 in LaCrosse, Alachua Co., FL),
daughter of Willis Daniel Holder (b. 6/8/1868 in LaCrosse, Alachua Co., FL)
and Joseph Ann Malphurs. Willis Daniel Holder was the son of Evan (Ivan?)
Holder (b. 8/11/1843 - Private Company F, 2nd Regiment Florida Cavalary,
C.S.A.) and Priscilla May. His second wife was Adaline Colson. Evan (Ivan)
is my "brick wall."

Evan (Ivan) and Priscilla had these children as well: Elizabeth (twin of
James) b. 9/13/1870 - married Solomon Burnett), James (8/13/1870 - married
Belle Kelly - lived in Gainsville and Crystal River), Lutie (b. 3/1872 -
married George Markey), Mary (b. 12/22/1874 - married first to B.F. Kennedy
and second to Bertie Pope), Bloxam (married Mary Kirk), Frank (married Belle
- lived in Maine, died in Macon, GA) and John (married first to Effie Holland
and second to Millie ?).

Hoping this makes a connection.
