Surname: Holloman

Hi,
I believe your Nancy Holloman may be related to an ancestor of mine, who
is Christopher C. Holliman, a desendant of English settlers to Isle of
Wight CO, VA. He was the son of Christopher Hollyman and Mary, and he (Holliman)
died in Isle of Wight CO, VA in 1731. He was married to Susanna. My info
shows they had a son, John (I didn't see a Samuel, though) who died in
Isle of Wight Co, VA in 1751. He was married to Elizabeth. They had a son
named Jesse. Christopher Hollyman's father (also named John) died there
in 1691, and it is believed he( Christopher Hollyman) was born on the Isle
of St. Kitts, during a stop-over, perhaps, on the journey to Jamestown,
where he arrived on May 22, 1650. I was given info in Oct. '99 that Christopher
Hollyman was the son of John Hollyman (mentioned above), who was born in
1572 in Hertfordshire, England, who was married to Judith. John Hollyman
died in 1650 in Southhampton, VA. I have been able to trace this line up
through myself, using the maiden name of my paternal grandmother, whose
mother was Cora Belle Holiman (one "L"), who died in 1917 in AR. A person
by the name of Kay Blevins may be able to help you--she e-mailed me most
of my information. If you like I will contact her on your behalf.
