"Character Certificates in Ghe General Land Office Of Texas:

2690. Nacgdoches Sept 23, 1835
No. 92 Samuel Holmes, native of USA, emigrated 1829, married with family.

3322. Nacgdoches Feb 7, 1835
No. 61 Thomas C. Holmes native USA with wife and 3 children...

Does anyone know anything about this, or about these 2 guys?

Any input greatly appreciated.
