Have you tried the Germanna Society in VA? They have a website,
www.germanna.org which gives all the families who originally came to
American from Germany to found the new colony. There is a Jacob Holtzclaw
who was in the original group. They also have 2 books with information on
the Holtzclaw families. The Germanna Record No. 5 which has 1 whole chapter
devoted to the Holtzclaws and the Germanna Record No. 4, which is about the
Holtzclaw families in America up to 1935.
My grandmother was a Holtzclaw and she and her family are shown in the
Germanna Record No. 4. There are some errors in some of the families, but
for the most part they are OK.

1856. I would like information on either or both of these families. MINOR
and HOLTZCLAW families came to Milam Co., TX and I would like to if they
came from the Washington County families. My wife has MINOR married to
JORDAN ancestors and I have HOLTZCLAW ancestors. I will appreciate any info,
and will share what I have on all the family names.
