I don't know if this will help much but I have Thomas Gaw and Nancy Hood's
marriage date as Feb. 22, 1799 in the 96th District in SC which I believe
in the Greenville, SC area. I have no source in my database or proof but
maybe this will help you pinpoint it. Let me know if you find anything
out and I will research it more myself.
