I found a Hood Cook Book, reprint # 1 but out by the C. I. Hood & Co. I want to give it as a gift to an Herblist friend and am looking for the history behind C. I. Hood and his production of Sarsaparilla Tonic. This small 4 1/2 " by 7" with 31 pages is very old. It was distributed byBixby & Co. out of Montpelier, Vermont. Can antone help me? I've found considerable information about old bottles with C. I. Hood Co. on them but not a lot on Charles or his business.
