> Thank you for answering,my problem is that our Hood ancestor,Patric Leonider Hood was born in the state of Georgia on 14 September 1852,where in Georgia I have no idea,but no one knows the names of Patric's parents,I do know from researching his census records that his parents were from Ireland ,so they immigrated to the U.S. prior to 1852,and I do not know where in Ireland his parents were from.Patric died on 30 November 1921,and is buried in the Crossroads Cemetery outside of Calvin,Oklahoma,I visit his grave often,although I have been researching him for 10 years I always seem to hit a brickwall,I know he lived in Scott County,Arkansas for some years before moving to Hughes County,Arkansas.I am looking for the names of his parents to see if I can locate where they were buried and to see if I can find out where in Ireland they lived.I know that Patric had a brother named John Hood,but I have no birth or death dates for his brother John.
