Subject: Child surnamed HOPE given up for adoption in 1937

I am hoping that someone on this list will have an entry in their research
database, regarding a female child, (possibly named Shirley Hope), who was
given up for adoption sometime in 1937. The adoption was finalized in 1938.

While the adoption was finalized in Wilkes-Barre PA., it is my understanding
that the birthplace could have been anywhere in the country!

The final adoption decree lists a Doris HOPE as the birthmother. The clerk
of the Luzerne County Orphan's Court, has written us to say that we already
have more information than the State does!

I have been diligently searching for several years with no results.
