Subject: German relatives from the Boston area

Good morning! I have recently subscribed, and am sending names of relations
who were from the Boston area in hopes that someone out there might have a
genealogical connection to my family.
My ggrandfather was Christian W. HOEHLE who was born 5 May
1853 in Germany, and immigrated to the Boston area at a time I am still
working to find. He died 4/18/1931 after working as a candy maker in his
own shop( Hoehle and Johnson confectioners in Boston?) and later at Keswick
Candies in Cambridge. He and his wife (Elisabeth DEISEL: 16 October 1849 -
6 Jan 1943)) lived in Roxbury , on Marsalles St. and had three children, one
of whom was my grandfather William Frederick (11/4/1878-ll/15/1957). The
others were daughters Emily(m: Otto Yetter) and Lousia.
William F. Hoehle was educated in Boston schools and then
worked for the R. L. Day Company for 50 years. He and my grandmother,
Elisabeth TOBELMAN (also of Boston) 7/4/1880-9/22/1963, lived on Orchard
Street in Jamaica Plain until moving in with our family in Winchester as
they got older.
The Tobelman side of the family is another on which I am
working. My grandmother's father John Tobelman (10/12/1851 - 10/?/1928)
was born in Waldeck, Germany and immigrated about 1985 to the US. He and
his wife Frederika KARCHER 4/5/1851-6/?/1935) had two daughters one of whom
was my grandmother.
I have written to National Archives in hopes of finding marriage
dates or naturalization dates, but so far no answers. I do know that the
Hoehle side is buried in Mt Hope Cemetery, and I have hopes of getting there
some day soon, but need to know to whom I could write for finding the
correct plot. Any suggestions?
That is my mother's genealogy in a nut shell. Thanks for
the oppurtunity to trace some of these loose ends. Jan Todd
