Message Board Post:
I am looking for information on W. M. Hubbard.
I think his first name was probably William, but that is only a guess.
I have no birth date or death date for him, but would guess he was born in the 1820's and died abt 1890.
He married my direct ancestor:
Susannah OWENS COMBS HUBBELL in 1865.
I believe they were married in Hardin County, OH.
Susannah was a widow twice before marrying Mr. Hubbard.
First to Elisha Combs ......... they had 2 sons that survived to adulthood.
Second to Gabriel Reeder Hubbell ... they had one son who survived to adulthood.
Susannah and W. M. Hubbard also had a son:
Sherman Hubbard b. in 1865 ... he married Anna Best in 1885 in Putnam County, OH. I would like to find out more about their descendants.
Susannah and W. M. Hubbard are both buried in Asa Varner Cemetery, Greensburg Twp., Putnam Co., Ohio.
There are no dates on W. M.'s headstone, only a GAR Marker on Grave - CoE 19 Ohio Inf. This from Transcription Book, I have not actually seen the grave.
I am always glad to share information,
Kathy
