Hi. I'm new to the list and just discovered via DNA study with Oxford
Ancestors in the U.K. that my family was Huguenot. The surname varies but
is spelled CLOW and CLOUGH. The link with the Huguenots came from
Connecticut and Canada. I'm an American living in England and we have a
surname study for Clough/Clow/Cluff/Clowes/Cloe etc in which we have a DNA
sample provided by a fellow researcher - requirements are a male bearing
the surname, who was naturally born (not adopted) and is at least 16 years
old. While my primary interest is in this surname, if others are having
trouble matching up with their families, I can't think of a more positive
way to find your relatives. All that is involved is a cheek swab and a
consent form. The test takes about 1-2 months to get your results back and
there is a group rate for 10, 20 or more participants.

We've had phenomenal success with our study. Of the about 20 researchers
who have participated, only one has not matched one of the others. Let me
know if you'd like more information on this study or starting one of your
own. Thanks. Rebecca Clough Harpole
