In response to the discussion about the name DENI (S)? I looked up my Lee book
on Huguenots in Ireland (1936) and found several traces of the surname Denis,
(James) in Waterford and Dennis, (Thomas) in Kildare and Tipperary in the 17th
and 18th centuries. Thomas was supposed to have come with Cromwell's troops, who
were said to be largely recruited from the eastern counties of England. Maybe
some leads are buried in there.
