...one of my favourite topics!

There are innumerable name changes of huguenot names in the british Isles...
Ireland for instance
DIGUES DE LA TOUSCHE = DIGGES
de MONTVALLET = VALLEYMOUNT
du THISAC (also England) = TYZACK/TYZICK
England.
PERTHUIS DE LA SALLE = PERTWEE
LEBLANC= WHITE
LENOIR = BLACK
DE HENNEZEL = HENZEY
DE LA MOTHE = MOAT

There are , however some name which have never been french, but the bearers
of these names in the 19c decided to althem slightly ...thus DEATH became
DE'ATH!
