Subject: [HWE] GEOFFROY, CASSER, UK, PRE-1775

My brick wall is finding any reference to my GGG grandfather, LOUIS GEOFFROY,
who, who was recruited in "southern England" in the last half of the 18th
century to become a landsteward on the estates of wealthy Anglo Irish
landowners named Bond in the counties of Longford and Westmeath in Ireland
The Bonds orginated in Dorset in England. For thirty years I have been
trying to get over LOUIS GEOFFROY'S brick wall, without success. I have
from the LDS, listings of BDM for the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset,
and Dorset, but no GEOFFROYs. I have found, however, a reference to a
Jacques and Jehan GEOFFROY, in the Quarto series of the Huguenot Society of
GB and Ireland in the late l6th Century. I would like to fill in the two
hundred year interval, between Jacques and Louis!! The name CASSER is also
somehow connected. We think the maiden name of Louis' wife or mother.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
