Dear list --

Please excuse the off-topic content of this message but I want to let
you know that I will be away for a little over a week from Thursday 18 Oct
(today) to Saturday 27 Oct.
In spite of some nervous jitters about the world situation, my husband
and I have decided to go to Scotland for a week to see our son who has
been living there for over a year now. We have been wanting to do this for
many months but we've had to postpone it up til now, the chief reason being
that my husband has had a steadily worsening irregular heart beat for some
years, in spite of the fact that he is very athletic. As a result of this
condition, he underwent a pulmonary vein ablation (cardiac procedure)
twice in recent months. The first in early July was unsuccessful but the
second, on 12 September, was a success.

Since it's been so very quiet on the list of late, I have decided not to
have anyone "sitting" the list during my absence, as is the usual
procedure when a list admin is going away for a while. Therefore,
you'll all be on your own, folks <smile>.
I'm hoping some of you will send a message to the list during the
coming week, particularly those not heard from for a while or new
subscribers who have not posted at all yet. There is also the HWE
Message Board for posting messages, if any of you want to try it.
But, obviously, messages from the Board will not be forwarded to
the list until I get back.
Again, my apologies for the off-topic post. I will pop up again on or
shortly after the 27th. My best to you all. Andrea (as list concierge)
