Thank you for that Roy, as far as I can ascertain, my line of VARLEYs were
Methodists of one sort or another, judging from their places of marriage and
baptisms, so that would fit, I think.

Are any of the records that you mentioned available on-line, or is a visit
to Paris necessary??
