RE: Huguenot Friendly Benefit Society.
Dear Listers,
I'm still "lurking" out here ! - but thought you might be
interested to know of a find I made when browsing in the
Guildhall Library website.
The Huguenot Friendly Benefit Society was founded in 1687, and was
previously known as The Society
of Parisians. This Society met at the Norfolk Arms in William Street,
Bethnal Green, London. The surviving Records
of the Society from 1797 to 1912 are held in the archives of the Guildhall
Library, Aldermanbury, London.
The reference No. is L 61.9
Good hunting ! Regards, Sally
