More random thoughts for the discussion.

Most(?) of the French Navy were Huguenots, so they could aid in
sea transport.

Some entire churches moved. That would be a tremendous undertaking,
but then they could hire a ship for just the church members.

My ancestor was born about 1662 in Brittany, France and became an
officer in the French Navy. He followed his Huguenot minister, Rev.
Elias Priloeau from Bretagnem Church in Pons, to America around
1680 (or 1695?). Please keep this church in mind when doing
research in case you run across any information on that congregation.
