Hello, all --

Juergen, thanks for pointing out what I should have
already known/remembered -- ie. Peter/Pierre/Petrus
WALDO (aka VALDO) was founder of the Waldensians.

As a matter of fact, in this case, I had not followed my
own often-given advice which is to check out our list
archives. If I had looked in the archives, I would have
found a post sent to the list almost three years ago
which mentions WALDO. And, Juergen, it was written
by you (dated 30 Jan 2000 with subject line: Waldensians,
Huguenots and Vaudoises).

There are three other posts in the archives which also
mention WALDO. Here they are with dates & subject lines --

This is another good example of the info to be found in
our list archives -- if only one looks! As everyone probably
knows by now, the archives can be accessed through our

I'm sure those who've mentioned Waldensians on the
list recently will be interested in the website Juergen
provided and maybe the info in the archives as well.
