Good day, all,
Deborah's comments re the Huguenots being absorbed into the Anglican church
reminded me that I've been meaning to pose a similar question to the list.
Is there any information that the Huguenots in Northern Ireland were
absorbed (by choice or otherwise) into the Presbyterian church?
I'm interested because my Huguenot ancestor (Charles DeAzeley
[d'Aissailly?] ) lived in NIR. We don't know if he came to NIR directly
from France, but that is the interpretation of family documents. The
families related to Charles DeAzeley by marriage (in NIR) were all
Presbyterian.
This discussion of terminology and history is SO interesting!
Cheers!
Betty (in sunny Delta, BC)
