Subject: An Emigration of Huguenots to South Carolina in 1764
Date: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 19:47:08 +0100
Hi Guys
Today, whilst looking for something else, I came across a very old Hug Soc article (March 1894) in Proceedings called:
An Emigration of Huguenots to South Carolina in 1764
It has a facing report, a copied summary of a report on 'The French Protestants of Abbeville District, SC, 1761-1765', then 3 lists comprising about 200 names of families and individuals, some given with occupations, size of families (it varies according to list) willing or about to travel to Nova Scotia or SC, two lists (one 112 names/families) covers voyagers from Plymouth and the other of 61 from London.
Although the paper is relatively short (6 double pages), it will take me ages to transcribe and anyway, I'm too busy to do so.
This is NOT an offer for look-ups - it's pot luck guys, if you want it, let me know and I'll post it out to you, you cover cost of copying and postage.
Regards
Tony Fuller
