Hi Marie:
I just saw that name as a merchant who supplied building materials for the
Walloon/Dutch/Huguenot settlement in Sandtoft, Lincolnshire in the mid
1600s - I just read an article about Lincolnshire in 1641 in the Civil War
and the King (Charles I) was staying in York and trying to get Lincolnshire
on his Roman Catholic side against the Protestant Parliament so people were
going back and forth across counties very close to where these people were
trying to make their settlement. Interesting.
