Hi Susan

I've looked through the hundred or so reference works I have in electronic
format and have only found one reference to the name BUGLER.

John Bugler (no place of origin appears for him) is on the Aliens list on
the Lay Subsidy Rolls in the parish of St Martin's, Norwich where he paid a
hefty amount on goods (100 shillings) and in tax (16s 8d) when most people
were paying just 4d, so he must have had substantial holdings in the town.
He also has a servant called Rosback, same parish. There is one reference
to the name BUGLER in the first hundred or so years of the Society's
Proceedings.

BOWGLARE does not appear at all.

As he was living in Norwich, it's quite likely that he was Walloon rather
than Huguenot (Belgian and not French) in origin.
