Joseph Nemeth wrote one very accurate explanation of the hungarian word
"zselle'r". Just I have to add a little bit more juice like this.
The zselle'r means an agrocultural workman/woman who had to offer his/her
work for sometimes to get a certain share of corp or to get an income/salary.

Let'say from 100 hundred country people called in hungarian "paraszt" (peasant)
90 men were "zselle'r" and 10 men were landowner paraszt who were the employers.
