Hello

I'm looking for people who have ancestors from anywhere who traveled into
the United States into NY City in 1904.

I propose the following project for each person to take one or more reels of
passenger list microfilm and search every passenger list on that reel and
print out only those pages where the person left a city of origin of the 35
list entries of the groups ancestors. I will gather every page and scan them
and make a compact disc or a zip file database and will distribute the
compiled database to the entire volunteer group. The cd or database will
have picture files of every page from ships in 1904 that the group fpound
contaiing their ancestors. I will not charge for this cd, if I make a cd but
I will ask you to send me a blank recordable cd and return postage later.
You get the cd back and you get it sent with your return postage and I make
NO money from this. What do I get? For the scanning and cd copying, I get
the ability to look on this database as you do. You do your part in printing
out sheets from those who came from Munkacs and you get a cd with the entire
database, and I do the scanning and writing and I get that as well.

Calling all those interested with ancestors who came to NY City from
Anywhere in 1904. I shall see if we get enough volunteers do do this
nonprofit project.

To volunteer place VOLUNTEER as the subject and in the body of your message
the one surname and country of origin of your ancestor you will search for.
I will compile a list of 35 volunteers who will get assigned one microfilm
to search for these 35 surnames and countries of origins of the group. We
will search the 35 passenger list reels from January 1, 1904 until May
17,1904. If you believe your ancestor arrived between this period then sign
up and volunteer.

I will have you print out each page you find something and I will make up a
cd that I will distribute at no charge except for you sending me a blank cd
and return postage.
