This might bring a smile to some faces:

As I mentioned in my previous email, we used to call szalonna
"Turkey-on-a-stick" [Why? I don't know]. One day we were going to visit my
folks and we invited some non-Hungarian friends to go with us, explaining
that they would get to try Turkey-on-a-stick at my folks.

Well, after we had done the szalonna over the outdoor file [they liked it],
and after our indoor supper later, they mentioned they might not have room
for the "Turkey". [They thought we were actually going to roast little
turkeys on a stick over the fire. We still kid them about that]
