"Nemes" means noble.
It is something like writing "Sir" in front of a name.
eg
Szabo Jozsef is a common name.
But if he got a "little" noble title, then he could use it as:
Noble Szabo Jozsef, but this is not common practice.
More likely it would be found as a salutation in an address or in a letter.
Higher ranking aristocrats would use their real title ("rank" in the old
pecking order) like Vitez, Grof, Baro, Herceg etc., (if any reader knows the
order of these titles and their English equivalents. I'd like to see)
