Yes, it is a wonderful list. Many of us started with little or no
information from/or about our parents and grandparents. They didn't talk
about ancestors...or siblings left in Hungary...had little contact (that we
know about) with the family that remained in Hungary.
Researching the names from the home village (on Ellis Island) can be
addictive and fun! Putting the gathered information together opens the door.
The church records from FHC give you the names; finding what they did and
where and how they lived is learning our history.
I also extend a big thank you to all the people on this list. You answer our
questions; make translations; check something on Ellis Island site when we
can't figure it out; help decipher village names and records; and so many
other things! Thank you.
