Hello everyone

In viewing the one and only LDS Roman Catholic microfilm for Srbogrd Fejr, the records start in 1862 and go until 1895 followed by additional films for civil registration. There are 3 films for the Reformed church in Srbogrd from 1782-1895.

Questions:

1) Am I to assume the Catholic church for Srbogrd was not built and ready for use until 1862?

2) Would the Catholics have attended the existing Reformed church in Srbogrd or traveled to another village to a Catholic church?

3) I find a person with my family surname as an "Administrator" for marriages from 1862 - 1869. His name appears on the first line of each page under the heading for the official for marriage. For the rest of the page the word " ugyanaz" is written on every line in that column. On later pages the word "filebanos" is written under the name instead of ugyanaz. Does anyone know the translation for either of these words?

4) Is there a way to find out if this person was a Catholic priest from 1862 - 1869?

Another person with the same surname is found as a witness to several marriages on each page during the same time period.

Judy
