Dear Listers,
May I ask for help & advice ? I am trying to trace details of my Great Grandfather (my Father's Mother's Father ) & his family.

We are not sure of family names. A short list of Christian names of his immediate family members are probably valid.

He declared that he was born 15 th JULY 1838 , at (city/town/locality) BOHEMIA. (country) HUNGARY. He said that he was christened at SAINT MARY'S CHURCH , BUDO-PECHS. (Budapest , Hungary ? )

He left his home about 1850. Hence probably went to AMERICA, & subsequently arrived AUSTRALIA late 1860's.

If his date of birth is the only item I have to work from, where do I start enquiries ?
