Elizabeth, you've intermingled answers from two
different people, creating something that was never
implied.

1)My answer was simply in response to your advise to
use a SASE.

2) Of course you can use international stamps/coupons
with an addressed return envelope if you choose.

3) I'd say an addressed envelope is acceptable. I
send one with every request for information I ask for
and if it's to someone within my own country, then I
will add a stamp. When I was in England last fall, I
returned with several books of stamps for that very
use regarding my English roots.

4) There was nothing in my statement that indicated
that anyone would be offended if you sent an addressed
return envelope. The simple point I was making, was
it is illegal to mail and envelope with stamps from
another country.

5) I read the other response and agree that someone
could be offended if money was sent with a request,
however a donation to the church or a charity after
the request has been fulfilled is not out of line as a
thank you.

I hope that clarifies things.

Judy
