My dear friend Suzanne,
Although on opposite sides of the United States, 3,000 miles away, you know
how close in friendship we are. It is so very good to see your name on this
list again. May I and my husband Michael give you whatever support is
needed on this mailing list. We will all appreciate your taking just a few
little steps at a time.
Best wishes dear friend.
Margaret and Michael Paull, Metuchen, N. J.

Hi Mary and List,
After 3 years of one trauma after another, including my husbnad's near
death motorcycle accident, the passing of my 51 year old sister in 2004 and
my 34 year old son 9 months ago, mentally and emotionally, I just could not
give the time needed to keep up with everything else I had going. Although
I did not want to let go of the Hungary GenWeb site, it was given to Lisa
Cory. I am, however, still the Hungary Mailing List (this list) owner and
hopefully, will continue to be so. Besides my family, there is nothing more
near and dear to me than my genealogy and I am trying to take a few slow
steps forward towards getting back into it.
Also, while my Hungarian Village Finder has been fisnished for quite some
time and is available on CD or for Downloading, I am continuing to try and
update information, charts, and so on to help people locate their ancestral
villages. You can see some of these by going to my website and clicking on
the icons:

As for the pages no longer available on the Hungary GenWeb site, I will be
redoing them and attaching them to my own websie above. Just give me a bit
more time.
Although I have been a bit silent, as always, I am here and read the
LIST's mail everday. So please, if you need to contact me, I'm here.
Best regards,
Suzanne

Hi List,
Recently I had computer problems and lost emails, bookmarks, etc. While in
the process of trying to restore my bookmarks, I learned Suzanne Somodi
Jimenez left the Hungary Gen Web site two years ago. I thank Suzanne for the
wonderful work she did. We all benefited from her direction and miss her
input. The old Hungary rootsweb site she hosted was full of information on
Hungary and offered ways to further our research. The old information (how
to address letters to Hungary, etc.) Suzanne had on the site is gone. The
new Coordinator for the HungaryGenWeb Project at rootsweb is Lisa Cory.
Welcome Lisa!!!
Is Lisa Cory our new hostess on the Hungary mail list? Who Is the host on
this our Hungary mailing list?
Following is the announcement found today:
The HungaryGenWeb website serves as the resource page for the
EastEuropeGenWeb Project. We thank the previous hosts
This page was initially launched by Rebecca Chaky in August 1996. It was
maintained by web host, Joseph M. Nemeth along with his co-hostess and
webmaster, C. Traunero, from 1998- March, 2000. Suzanne Somodi Jimenez was
the coordinator from March 2000 - July 2006. Thank you all!
