In Samuel Smiles "Huguenots in England & Ireland I found
MORELL, Daniel, b. village in Champagne. Parents murdered. Fled to HOlland
with Stephen Conte, entered army of William III, fought under him in Irish
campaigns. Morell's son married Conte's daughter and they had 3 sons who
became wellknown dissenting ministers.
