Edward and Susan and list:
I started putting info in my database a little over a year ago, and at
that time, I didn't know how to enter sources. So I will have to
recheck my documents to find my sources for the information that
conflicts with yours. Most of my info came from the Huguenot Society of
SC's Transactions, and from this list. These have been supplemented by
will info, deeds, etc.--but these latter have been gotten from
compilations and the like and not original records. Still, I find it
useful under the "road map" theory to trot out our various info to see
where we can shore up our sources and data. I'd be curious, for
example, if you and Susan got your information from the same source(s)
where the two of you agree--e.g. on the wife for Pierre Videau as being
Jeanne Elizabeth Sleigh as opposed to Mauze.
I've discussed privately with Susan my difficulties with one of her
source's info not always proving correct, and given the tenuous nature
of my own sources--especially where they stray from my direct lines--I
have no doubt that mine are more than a bit questionable.
So, Edward, I say "post away"; this is especially true because I know
that there are a few more researchers we've not heard from yet who are
also interested in these lines.
And thank you both for all your help.
