In 1621 occurrred one of the MANY MIRACLES that prove that
' YES, GOD DOES BLESS AMERICA' ( Which is the TITLE of another
holy/historic presentation that I share with groups.)

In the Spring of 1621 two Indians, Samoset, a Wab NAH key and Squanto, a
Wam pa NO ag, walked into the Plymouth Colony and greated the Pilgrims,
saying ,in English, "Welcome".

Miracle ?- Yes. Two Native Americans had been captured and sold into
SLAVERY by English slavers. They had returned to their village in Pa TUK
et (Patuxet) Mass. to find only ruins and skeletons. Their families had
all been killed by the Englisman's diseases!, --and Plymouth was now
being built on the
EXACT spot where their homes once stood.

About 1/2 of the 102 English settlers had died that first winter of 1620
from cold, disease, and near-starvation. AND, Squanto stayed and enabled
the Pilgrims to survive by teaching them to plant corn, hunt, fish, etc.

Talk about "Christian "Charity.

After the bountiful harvest of the summer of 1621, the grateful Pilgrims
then declared a 3 day feast .They asked Squanto,Samoset,
Chief Massasoit and their immediate families to join the feast~
90 Indians came and
joined the 50 Pilgrims. Captain Standish at one end of---and King
Massasoit at the other .{ The Chief sent--most of-- for food--5 deer,
many wild turkeys, fish, beans, squash, corn soup, and berries. Probable
Menu--boiled (boyled) turkey--yuk, seethed lobster, roast vension,
pudding, fricase of coney (rabbit), goose, roasted, a cod, seethed,
roasted & stewed Pompion ???(pumpkin) AND corn bread and a savory hominy
pudding.] (Yankees, please note)

This was, what has become to be known as America's first Thanksgiving

So, was this our First Thanksgiving in "America'?

NO, it was the fifth that year for Samoset and the other Native
Americans. [They celebrated 6 celebrations including the summer Green
Corn Dance, which
I've seen our Florida Seminoles (the real ones) dance.

Was this Plymoth Thangsgiving Celebration the First by Europeans in
America?
NO, English settlers of Jamestown,
Va. 1607 and at Berkley Plantation 1619.

Were these Virginia Celebrations& Thanksgiving Services then the first?

NO--the First such services were on the Florida's First Coast--right
here in River City, Jacksonville at Wacca Pilatka (Place of the Cow's
Crossing0--Cowford---Jacksonville, Florida!

More later.
