Hi,
no discrimination exists on the state level but the Catholic church is not
too friendly. Most of the Lutherans fled after/during the war because they
were of German descent and have not being too kind to their Polish
neighbours during the war. But that was not ALWAYS the case. Some simply
fled since they were afraid of the russians and Communists. The Reformed
have been a small minority of landlords and nobles. After the war most of
them left for the west. there is still a reformed Polish parish in London
(as well as a Lutheran one). But what really "kills us" is mixed marriages.
when marring with a catholic in the Catholic church the Protestants must
sign a declaration that ALL children will be brough up as catholics. This
way by now almost all my family is RC except for me and my Mother. This is
also the case in other families.
best wishes
Kazimierz
PS I will send those Dutch churches next week.
