Jan: Tks again for your help and interest. I guess you never know for sure
what went on at that time. Your guess is as good as any. I'm thinking that
if my Grandmother was taken in by an Aunt and Uncle what happened to her
parents? Maybe they left the country I know there are Digances in Australia
and New Zealand. Maybe they went to France? My Grandfather Cook who
married Ada Elizabeth Digance was in the British Army in India and they were
married at Bombay in 1903. (I have a copy of marriage cert.)
