Hi all,
I have asked a couple of times about DESHAZO, which is the current spelling,
as of the 1700s or so to now. Maybe someone will recognize the original
spelling (I can't believe I didn't think to submit it to you before now).
DECHAZEAUX
The earliest ancestor I have is:
John DECHAZEAUX
b. 1665 Switzerland??
d. 1760
m. 1710 in Laguedec France
sp.?
children:
William b. 1712
John II b. 1714
Robin b. 1717
Clevin b. 1718
Edward b. 1720
Marion b. 1722
John and family fled from France and arrived in Yorktown around 1716. He
changed the spelling of his name to DESHAZO around 1725. His children
settled in VA, TN, MS, and NC.
I can send more information if anything looks familiar to anyone. I am new
to Huguenot research, so if anyone has suggestions on how to get started,
please let me know. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Lori
