From this list, we have always heard that Walloons are descended from French
Huguenots (and presumably Protestant).

Then, why in present-day Belgium are Walloons the southern French-speaking
Roman Catholic sector and Flemish the northern "Dutch-speaking" Protestant
sector?

When did the Walloons switch back to Roman Catholicism?
